Lagos: April 2, 2012 – First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Plc. has rewarded 161 customers who emerged winners of the bank’s Millionaire Savings Promo. The promo which was launched in June 2011 drew to a conclusion on Monday (April 2, 2012). Alexander Forbes Actuaries verified the Promo.

Activities marking the end of the promo in Lagos yesterday included a random selection of winners for the months of January and February 2012, during which two millionaires, Oluwole Adebanji Olasupo and Agu Innocent emerged. Four other customers, Ogbonna Godwin, Ohirhian Peter Urhobo, Thankgod Maromitan and Olajide Simiat Kikelomo won N100,000 each, while another 40 customers also won consolation prices.

A total of 161 winners including the seven winners of the star prize of N1,000,000 each, were announced after seven monthly electronic random selections which took place in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and Port Harcourt to reward customers for the months of August, September, October, November, December 2011.

The seven star prize winners of N1,000,000 each were Udoudo Edem, Wogbo Samuel Nwanneka, Oragwuncha Ifeoma, Onyekwere Ignatius Ojimadu and Onyigbo Ifeanyi Leonard, Oluwole Adebanji Olasupo and Agu Innocent.

Fourteen customers including Offor Emmanuel Matthew, Okwechime Azumdialor Felix, Ibeshi Celestina Chinyere, Oloye Harison, Danish C. Kariyawasam, Adekunle Bunmi, Adesina Ajiboye Julius, Mohammed Haruna Mohammed, Izuorah Okechukwu and Eze Remigius, Ogbonna Godwin, Ohirhian Peter Urhobo, Thankgod Maromitan and Olajide Simiat Kikelomo also won N100,000 each. One hundred and forty other customers went away with consolation prizes of N10,000 each.

Akeem Mustafa, Group Head, HNI and Affluent Segment said the objectives of the promo were to stimulate and encourage a savings culture in the country, improve the lives and businesses of customers, both being values that align with the bank’s mission statement, and lastly to reward the bank’s customers for their loyalty.

According to Akeem Mustafa, the FCMB Millionaire Savings Promo proved to be very popular and was successful in attracting participants and winners from all the geographical zones of the country. Some of the customers who invested in the Promo attested they injected the N1,000,000 and other amounts won as additional working capital into their businesses. These qualities once again speak to and align with the bank’s ambition to be a more supportive bank to its customers. Other customers went on to attest that the prize money came in very useful as some of them used it to pay down their outstanding loans, while others used it to save for the rainy day.

The FCMB Millionaire Promo was a special savings scheme, which offered customers a unique opportunity to win N1,000,000 and other cash prices while at the same time helping them save and make more money.
